The Ferme 5 Étoiles Vacation Centre offers you the opportunity to try the ultimate Canadian activity by discovering sled dogs, also called dog sledding in Quebec, and to live a unique experience in direct contact with the fauna and flora of the Saguenay Fjord.

Discover the trails specially designed for sled dogs on the shores of the majestic Saguenay Fjord, 15 minutes from Tadoussac and 1 hour from Saguenay! This region of Quebec is known for its rich nature and its wide open spaces covered with snow in winter.

First of all, you will meet the experienced mushers who will share with you their knowledge of the incredible discipline of sled dogs. Then they will introduce you to your husky team, eager to go for a ride! Then you will leave for an authentic and exotic escapade near the Saguenay Fjord National Park!

You can choose between two hikes:

- A one-hour discovery hike, for the whole family, where you learn all aspects of the activity in typical Quebec landscapes.

- Or, for those who wonder how to drive the sled dogs: for half a day, you learn how to drive it yourself, then go for a 2-hour ride in the snowy and mountainous landscapes of the Saguenay Fjord and the Tadoussac region.

The minimum age for driving a sled is 12 years. The guide reserves the right to put the child in a pair if he/she deems it necessary for the child's safety.

This is an easy and accessible activity. However, it does require a little physical effort. If you have a doubt, please contact your instructor after booking to discuss the various options available.

Special terms

Nordic clothing rental: In order to make your activity as pleasant as possible, it is very important to bring all the necessary Nordic clothing that is appropriate for the weather conditions during your activity. La Ferme 5 Etoiles can, upon request, lend you clothing at a cost of $20/person + taxes (size for 12 years &+). If needed, please advise your instructor upon receipt of your confirmation.

Please note that for children aged 3 to 5 and 6 to 11, the price includes the child's seat and the adult's pilot seat.
